Presentation QA Limericks 028: Read-First Review of Nineteen Records

Maintenance ID: 0.1.00136.limericks-028 Date: 2026-10-08 Scope: content/limericks/ — the nineteen records assigned by workload issue #694 (limericks/LIM-0172 through limericks/LIM-0190)

What changed

  • Read all nineteen assigned records in full, frontmatter through final line. One intervening diff since snapshot 8997eebee2a4e620c5dd47fcea97abf515c4cac6: lim-roboshirker.md gained the #824 two-space hard-break restoration on all non-final verse lines (emphasis/wording untouched); reviewed against current contents.
  • Seven records each earned one bold pivot — a single verse line wrapped in **, trailing hard breaks preserved:
    • lim-recital-of-sufficiency.md line 24: "But it's nothing but absolute poo." — the counter-verdict that breaks the Recital's litany.
    • lim-recourse-cushion.md line 32: "When the structure was built to not care." — names the mechanism; last line of the punctuated era.
    • lim-revival-pocket.md line 21: "Because all of the network is dead." — the flat reveal that the revival is imaginary.
    • lim-ribbon-clause.md line 16: "But the formatting has a nice glow." — the record's satirical thesis in miniature.
    • lim-ribbonward-cordialis.md line 24: "But it looks fucking grand in the air." — the frayed-but-photogenic turn.
    • lim-sanctioned-quilt.md line 32: "To pretend everything is alright." — the purpose-naming culmination of the punctuated era.
    • lim-sc-lambda-care-continuity-split.md line 24: "For the unresolved case by design." — the reveal that the split is intentional.
  • Recounted content/changelog/ source records, including this docket, and set the trunk's Count: to 104. README totals updated to match source: 2,309 pages, 11 trunks, 2,298 satellites.

What was deliberately left alone

  • All frontmatter, canonical IDs, titles, tags, stanza structure, indentation, two-space hard breaks, quoted/documentary material, and all existing emphasis.
  • Eleven records reviewed unchanged: lim-quill-staticvox, lim-reboota-thrice, lim-red-pencil-mercy, lim-ribbon-mile, lim-safekeeping-clause, lim-roboshirker, lim-rot-mcmascotterton (already carry their own italic surfaces or muted registers that a bold line would fight), plus lim-redaction-lullaby (monotone dread; no single hinge), lim-relief-watermark, lim-ribbon-latency, lim-ribbon-of-maybe (parallel restatements of one conceit; no distinct pivot line).
  • lim-robots-dot-txt.md was read in full but not rebalanced: it carries 46 bold spans plus italics from a raw-ingest era, and source line 76 (**User-agent: ***) fails to parse — compiled HTML emits the asterisks literally while the rest of the record's 61 <strong> spans render. Both are protected-region anomalies; flagged needs decision on #694.

Verification performed

  • BORIS_BIN=/Users/tbuddy/dev/filed.fyi/bin/boris ./bin/validate_graph.sh — passed: Boris graph diagnostics, full Cantilever compile, verse residue check, HTML ID audit, Filed certification.
  • git diff confirms emphasis markers only; no word, order, ID, link, or whitespace changes. Compiled HTML shows exactly one <strong> per changed record, all <br> hard breaks intact, zero stray asterisks across all nineteen compiled pages (except the LIM-0186 anomaly noted above).
  • python3 scripts/check_collection_counts.py — PASS after updating the changelog trunk count and README totals.

Unresolved follow-up

  • needs decision posted on #694: lim-robots-dot-txt.md raw-ingest bold density (rebalance or preserve as ingest residue) and the unparsed **User-agent: *** delimiter at line 76 rendering literal asterisks in protected verse. The issue stays open until the maintainer resolves or explicitly waives it.
