Presentation QA Mascots 021: Read-First Review of Seven Records

What changed

• Read all seven assigned records in full, frontmatter through final line, including the appended Aphorisms/Haiku Log/Limerick Log residue in each. All seven files were unchanged since issue snapshot 8997eebee2a4e620c5dd47fcea97abf515c4cac6 (git diff empty); no intervening edits to disclose.
• 224.velv-stablecoin.md: inserted one blank line after - Cannot be spent during sadness (line 21) and one after - Found embedded in ESG decks as a decorative but compulsory asset (line 29). Both trailing sentences were being absorbed into the preceding <li> by paragraph lazy continuation — verified in compiled HTML before and after ("Velv is considered legally incorporeal in 11 jurisdictions.
" → own <p>). Bolded the pivot clause "It is a presence." in the freed kicker line — the record's thesis, echoed verbatim by the aphorism residue and the final limerick. Asterisks and blank lines only.
• 226.serotonin-sam.md: inserted blank lines after - Sadness-smoothed trendlines (Q2 integration) and - Leading emotional OKR calibration in onboarding rituals (both trailing sentences rendered inside the last <li>), and one blank line on each side of the sentence "Several internal directive conflicts ..." which was rendering inside the > "Let your metrics smile too™." blockquote — verified in compiled HTML. Bolded "a comfort glyph with KPI arms" — the record's defining image, echoed by the aphorism residue and italicized in its own limerick residue.
• 225.witness-mink-9.md line 47: bolded "more linguistically compassionate as the probability of corrective movement approaches zero" — the diagnostic pivot the whole record builds toward. Asterisks only.
• 227.burden-shrew.md line 31: bolded "She is housed where institutional speed cannot trip over her." — the assertion that completes the "not hidden exactly" definitional pair. Asterisks only.
• 228.proxy-compassion-possum.md line 16: bolded "He is merely underpowered." — the pivot that completes the "not insincere" definitional pair. Asterisks only.

What was deliberately left alone

• All frontmatter, canonical IDs, titles, tags, {#...} heading anchors, emoji-headed card sections, quoted motto blockquotes, verse stanzas, two-space hard breaks, existing italic emphasis inside limerick residue, and the multi-blank-line residue spacing between verse generations (e.g. 227 lines 140–143, 228 lines 129–131).
• 223.placeholder-witness.md reviewed unchanged: its emphasis is already spent on the three bold field labels ("Origin & Failure Signature", "Witness Function", "Distinction"); the prose is a label-led stub record and no further pivot is earned.
• 229.soft-green-sealie.md reviewed unchanged: the Boundary Note already carries two bold spans ("live surface reassurance", "archival comfort language", line 19). Adding more would be decoration.
• The ## Haikus subheading sitting inside ## Haiku Log in every residue block is the corpus-wide generated convention, confirmed identical across all seven records. Not normalized.
• 226.serotonin-sam.md line 11 carries a bare emoji: 🧾 body line — card-format residue also present in 075.anlas-appenhancer.md. Preserved.
• 226.serotonin-sam.md line 50 cites "relatedLorelog" as plain text — a flattened reference with no link target. Not repaired; inventing a target would manufacture a link.

Needs decision (flagged, not fixed)

• 226.serotonin-sam.md lines 233–237: the closing Breeding Match Allocation limerick indents its third and fourth lines by three spaces and ends on the truncated "In a companionship-regime sub." Nonstandard stat-block verse layout; preserved exactly, flagged for maintainer ruling.
• 229.soft-green-sealie.md lines 151–227: the nine Empathegy Productization Spur limericks use a two-space-indented stat-block convention with mid-word hyphenated breaks ("intercept- / ed. Nothing would.", lines 209–211). Same convention appears in at least a dozen other mascot records (e.g. 019, 049, 301). Preserved exactly, flagged for maintainer ruling.
• 226.serotonin-sam.md line 50: "see relatedLorelog for formal case history" reads as a link that lost its target. A non-formatting defect; left verbatim pending maintainer decision.

Verification performed

• BORIS_BIN=/Users/tbuddy/dev/filed.fyi/bin/boris ./bin/validate_graph.sh — passed after edits: Boris graph diagnostics, full Cantilever compile, verse residue check, HTML ID audit, Filed certification.
• git diff on the five changed records confirms blank-line insertions and emphasis markers only; no word, order, ID, link, or frontmatter changes.
• Compiled HTML inspected (dist/cantilever/mascots/M-0224.html, M-0226.html): the five separated sentences now emit as their own <p> elements and the blockquote contains only the motto.
• python3 scripts/check_collection_counts.py — PASS after updating the changelog trunk count and README totals.

• The three needs decision items above await maintainer resolution or waiver on issue #748.
