What changed

• Read all four assigned records in full, frontmatter through final line, including aphorism, haiku, and limerick residue sections.
• 410.vacancy-notice.md line 24: bolded "acknowledgment itself is a form of trespass" — the biography's thesis clause; the same phrasing recurs verbatim in the record's aphorism log. Asterisks only.
• 411.inchkeeper-bale.md line 20: bolded "calm certainty of someone who has never once been wrong about a number" — the definitional character beat the biography builds toward, echoed in the aphorism log. Asterisks only.
• 412.red-pencil-mercy.md line 20: bolded "accuracy, applied recursively, eats meaning alive" — the record's thesis statement, echoed verbatim in the aphorism log. Asterisks only.

What was deliberately left alone

• All frontmatter, canonical IDs, tags, titles, anchors ({#...}), link targets, quoted material, lists, headings, horizontal rules, and every existing emphasis marker, including 410's *Gone.* and the **200 OK**-style bold status codes in 413's Status Behavior Profile.
• The dangling - Label: value bullets after each biography (410 line 25, 411 line 23, 412 line 23). Verified as a collection-wide residue convention (present in 53 of 249 mascot records), not a per-record defect.
• 412.red-pencil-mercy.md lines 405–409: the final limerick terminates mid-line with ERROR: LINE TERMINATED BEFORE RESOLVE. Read as deliberate self-referential residue (a mascot whose corrections eat meaning, whose own record dies mid-edit); preserved byte-for-byte.
• All verse: haiku and limerick logs in all four records use the standard two-space hard-break convention; no stanza, indentation, or trailing-whitespace changes (#824).
• 410 lines 154–159 (## Haiku Log → ### Vacancy Notice {#vacancy-notice-3} → ## Haikus) and the same h3-under-h2 log structure in siblings — archival residue, preserved.

• git diff: all four changed lines byte-identical modulo ** markers; zero trailing-whitespace alterations; 4 insertions, 4 deletions.
