Presentation QA Reference 017: Read-First Review of Seven Records

What changed

• Read all seven assigned records in full, frontmatter through final line, including the Related Aphorisms/Haikus/Limericks residue in each. Six files were identical to snapshot 8997eebee2a4e620c5dd47fcea97abf515c4cac6; fref-0250-prdm.md carried one intervening commit (ed4ff55b, the archive-wide verse hard-break restoration, 0.1.00056.verse-hard-break-consistency) that re-added two-space hard breaks to two haiku stanzas at lines 100–101 and 106–107. The current file was reviewed as it now stands; the diff is disclosed here.
• fref-0220-ccmp.md line 15: bolded "unless no one insists on the distinction" — the trailing caveat where the quorum rule quietly dissolves into room temperament. The prose carried no prior emphasis. Asterisks only; the line's trailing space is preserved. The same sentence quoted verbatim in the aphorism residue at line 28 was left unmarked.
• fref-0230-cmal.md line 17: bolded "stop writing checks in the margins" — the clause where the note's one request lands, set up by "It is not a prohibition on enthusiasm" at line 15. Asterisks only.
• fref-0240-cmrc.md line 53: bolded "the town once cared in several directions at once" — the phrase the circular's shared-custody doctrine exists to preserve. The kicker at line 57 ("It is, however, highly fileable.") was left flat; it lands because it is flat. Asterisks only.
• fref-0250-prdm.md line 49: bolded "doctrine is already trying to happen in the decorations" — the custody note's pivot, where decoration becomes doctrine. Asterisks only.
• fref-0260-bmdh.md line 152: bolded "Neither is required to lead." — the sentence where the desk declines to subordinate felt truth or numeric truth to the other, closing the "Of Breakfasts, Drives, and Assent" section. Asterisks only.

What was deliberately left alone

• fref-0200-cbac.md reviewed unchanged for formatting: the prose already carries five bold spans (lines 11, 13, 23, 31, 36); existing emphasis is not permission to add more. A non-formatting anomaly is flagged below.
• fref-0210-cbhn.md reviewed unchanged: all five handling principles already carry bold lead-ins (lines 19–31), and line 48 — "That condition is common enough not to deserve exceptional punctuation." — is the record's own argument against adding any.
• All frontmatter, canonical IDs, titles, relations, {#...} heading anchors, code spans (FREF-0570-APCR, FREF-0560-ADJC), verse stanzas, two-space hard breaks (including the post-snapshot restorations), quoted/documentary material, existing italics on quoted field language, and the double-blank-line residue spacing throughout.
• fref-0250-prdm.md line 28: the FREF-0570-APCR cross-reference paragraph sitting between numbered principles 3 and 4. Structural residue; left in place.
• Trailing-space residue in fref-0220-ccmp.md (lines 13, 15). No trailing-whitespace cleaning was performed anywhere.

Verification performed

• BORIS_BIN=/Users/tbuddy/dev/filed.fyi/bin/boris ./bin/validate_graph.sh — passed: Boris graph diagnostics, full Cantilever compile, verse residue check, HTML ID audit, Filed certification.
• git diff on the five changed records confirms emphasis markers only; no word, order, ID, link, frontmatter, or whitespace changes. The protected aphorism quotation in fref-0220-ccmp.md was verified unmarked.
• Compiled-article inspection: each new pivot renders as a single <strong>; verse hard breaks render as <br />; heading ids and the verse-residue disclosure blocks are intact. FREF-0260-BMDH (the largest record) and unchanged FREF-0210-CBHN were both inspected post-compile.
• python3 scripts/check_collection_counts.py — PASS after merging origin/main, updating the changelog trunk count, and README totals to actual.

Unresolved follow-up

• needs decision — fref-0200-cbac.md line 38: the final bullet ends mid-word ("...even when copies were know"), and the section at line 29 promises "three main device types" while only two items are present. The truncation is present at the record's first commit in this repository (8e7db007, the Boris migration). A presentation pass does not complete sentences; left as-is for maintainer decision.
• needs decision — fref-0260-bmdh.md lines 241–253: the "It does:" list ends in a dangling - bullet, followed by a :::note "Archivist's Addendum" fence that compiles to literal text and an orphan limerick ("The printer is flashing a light.") with no hard breaks sitting mid-section. The same :::note + orphan-verse residue pattern appears corpus-wide (37 files; e.g. lorelog/DS-404-ALPHA.md), converted from legacy <Aside> markup in ee4768f3. Consistent documentary residue; left as-is for maintainer decision.
