What changed

Retrofit-soul slice 9. Pure-insertion interiority additions only; no deletions, rewrites, reorderings, or frontmatter changes.

  • Appended records-officer paragraphs to each record. Fauna records received two each in the Annexa/Koala pattern: 238 after its classification couplet (ahead of ## Operational Posture) and after the routing-work para (ahead of ## Institutional Habitat); 241 after its assignment block (ahead of ## Boundary Note) and after the improvement-certification para (ahead of ## Failure Modes); 242 after its assignment block and after the depletion.Lantern run-on para (the record carries no blank between that para and ## Failure Modes, so the insertion supplies its own separator blanks); 246 after its classification couplet (ahead of ## Failure Signature) and after the gratitude-tracking para; 247 after the decorated-indeterminacy couplet and after the especially-active line (ahead of ## Institutional Habitat). Skeleton records received one each in the slot between the last distinction prose and the terminal thematic couplet or ## Image: 312 ahead of the It is not unreal. couplet, 313 and 314 ahead of ## Image, 315 ahead of the Cadence is pending canonization. couplet, 316 ahead of the The handwriting is not yet transcribed. couplet.
  • Added one ## Behavioral Residue section per record (ten total), each placed after the last prose block and before ## Aphorisms.
  • Five bullets per record except 313, which receives four, following the sparseness restraint used for M-0258, M-0284, M-0290, and M-0304.
  • Each section closes with one intake-file testimony sentence in the established Asked at intake ... complete testimony. format.

Being-grammars

  • 238 — wrapping fidelity: the Clerk measures each incident before it is wrapped, never hurries a severity through, and leaves a tactile signature (double fold, single tape strip, palm-print) rather than a legible one. It declined once, on record, and does not take sides between filers who learn the register and filers last seen reading the door from below.
  • 241 — contact fidelity: she is assembled almost entirely of approach; what she touches registers as temperature rather than weight. Her hover is scheduled at four minutes — never early, never late, only present and then gone — and the chill is the proof.
  • 242 — illumination fidelity: it arrives already lit; the decision to call the interval restful precedes it. Its light falls evenly, which is the instrument of the error — smoldering and resting return the same amber reading, and it has never once been lowered.
  • 246 — deposit fidelity: it settles rather than lands, is swept never emptied, and gathers thickest where the encounter was most courteous. Its relation to the Latch is sequential and unsigned — the Latch closes on the word as spoken; the Ash is what the word becomes by morning.
  • 247 — knot fidelity: it is tied before there is anything to tie it to, cut on schedule rather than readiness, stored for reuse under forthcoming, and has never been tied around anything delivered. It is retired by sheen, not by date.
  • 312 — interval fidelity: it arrives after the screaming and before the questions; the tie is straightened in the corridor — the one interval it is never seen inside. It does not answer questions; it quiets the room in which they would be asked, metered in degrees of gravity the intake notes decline to call sincerity.
  • 313 — provenance fidelity, restrained: it keeps its stains in order of arrival, has never been recopied (the wrinkles are the provenance), and is stored as found — creased, damp at one corner, the only item in its drawer whose condition is also its content.
  • 314 — remit fidelity: she reads everything routed to her; her signature exists and is in good order on acknowledgments, receipts, and restatements, and has never appeared on an order. The crown is kept presentable as a supplies item, changed by herself, without comment, at review time.
  • 315 — cadence fidelity: it certifies in one pass and does not re-listen; sentences that will not scan collect in a reject tray emptied into an arrhythmic appendix routed nowhere. Its approval is audible, and it has never flagged a pleasant falsehood — whether that is restraint or incapacity does not scan.
  • 316 — margin fidelity: it holds only what the boxes refused, written under force (the pen dents two sheets down while the typeset layer stays clean). It is never transcribed on arrival — digitization logs the blue ink as artifact — and it accrues around denials until the margin is wider than the form.

Register note

The 31x band was handled as office parody per the M-0272/M-0304 precedents: mitigation offices, committees, audits, supplies, routing forms, intake desks. No liturgical machinery was imported — 314's Mitigatrix remains the record's own title-inflation frame (business card, paper crown, battery-dead scepter), and nothing in any staged file invents rites, orders, canon law, or parishes. 312's soma-directive tag and 315's telemetry-rot/protocol-language tags stay mechanism-side; the new prose describes deployment behavior, not doctrine.

M-0313 restraint note

313 carries bin-8c, self-indexing, hazardous-misfiling, cluster-presence, custody-drift, improvised-record, and reindexing — the flagged jurisdiction. Interiority was bounded to what the record itself claims: a napkin that absorbed a collapsing system before permission existed, kept because the wrinkles are part of the provenance. The additions narrate storage, condition, and recopying-refusal only; no Bin-8C doctrine, containment procedure, cluster mechanics, or misfiling hazard is asserted, dramatized, or generalized beyond the record's own tags and two-line aphorisms frame. Four bullets and a testimony line; sparse per the flagged-record precedent.

What was deliberately left alone

  • All existing verse residue, ## Haiku Log/## Limerick Log/## Haikus group structure, ### group names and {#anchor} IDs.
  • All irregular stanza spacing, including the five-blank limerick rain gaps (staged positions: 238:161-165, 241:177-181, 242:169-173, 314:144-148, 315:147-151, 316:145-149) and every three-blank aphorism/verse separator.
  • The two known original single-space prose tails at 313:13 and 316:11, and every two-space verse hard-break tail; no whitespace-only lines introduced.
  • Source-format quirks inside prose: 242's depletion.Lantern run-on boundary and its SI-9 the Lantern run-on line, 241's improvement she only comma splice, and 246's Boundary Note line that continues the Archive Note without a heading.
  • Frontmatter, IDs, parent values, statuses, tags, and the two pre-existing [[ links (246 → limericks/LIM-0101, 314 → lorelog/LLG-0325-ORT); no new links, tags, or relation edges added.

Verification performed

  • Line census (wc -l): 238 190→202, 241 206→218, 242 197→210 (its mid-record insertion required its own separator blanks), 246 243→255, 247 237→249, 312 176→186, 313 185→194, 314 175→185, 315 178→188, 316 176→186 — net +110 lines across the slice, all insertions.
  • Blank-line census: every original ^$ position maps to the staged file at exactly its insertion-cumulative offset; all irregular gaps (five-blank rain gaps, three-blank aphorism separators, two-blank post-heading pairs, 313's consecutive blank pairs) intact at shifted positions.
  • Trailing-whitespace census ([ ]+$): identical match counts per file (47/47/47/71/71/59/74/59/59/60), content identical at shifted positions; [^ ] $ confirms the only single-space tails are the two known originals at unshifted 313:13 and 316:11; no [ ]{3,}$, no ^[ ]+$, no tab characters.
  • Sentinel greps: exactly one ## Behavioral Residue per file, each positioned between the last prose block and ## Aphorisms; five bullets each (313: four); each section terminates in the attributed intake testimony line; heading census shows the skeleton changed only by that one heading; [[ count is two across the slice, both pre-existing.
  • Side-by-side reads of frontmatter, all prose sections, aphorism blocks, haiku, and limerick bodies confirm original text unchanged and in order; staged file tails end on the original final line with the original newline convention.
  • BORIS_BIN=~/.local/bin/boris ./bin/validate_graph.sh — run by coordinator on transcription; exact result line in the PR body. Coordinator verified byte-exact diffs: 0 deletions, 110 insertions across all ten records. M-0313 (bin-8c flag) inserts reviewed individually: restraint held — medium and provenance dramatized, no containment or self-indexing mechanics claimed.

Unresolved follow-up

  • 241's testimony ('I was there.') is the slice's only first-person intake answer; flagging in case the coordinator prefers mechanism-register phrasing even where the record's own she-grammar is preserved.
  • 246's Latch bullet claims the two never appear in the same line of a transcript — a behavioral embellishment consistent with the record's Boundary Note, but the strongest new claim in the slice; flagged for review.
  • 312's residue bullet says the tie-straightening interval is the one interval it is never seen inside; the record's own prose already states the register change happens off-camera, but the absolutist phrasing is new — flagged.
  • All other coordinator flags carry forward from slice 8.
