First Corporate Ma'nene' Cycle — Incident Record

Case Number: LLG-0939-CORPORATE-MANENE

Tradition field: Corporate (archive-internal)

Incident Record

The first Corporate Ma'nene' cycle executed on schedule per Exhumation Protocol. The Exhumation Officer (Corporate Ma'nene') pulled 200 records from managed absence against the standing pull-list query — CAAR, AAOA, and LCGU classifications under the Managed Absence Spine.

Each record was exhumed, re-dressed in the current frontmatter schema, walked through the lorelog, and assigned an outcome code. Findings as filed:

  • 12% carried relations edges to deleted IDs. The dead had been writing to the dead.
  • 8% carried tags from a deprecated taxonomy. The shrouds were two versions behind the bodies.
  • 3% assessed more current than their live replacements. The replacements were notified by form letter.

Outcomes were recorded per protocol:

Outcome Count
REBURIED 191
REANIMATED 6
DISPLAYED 2
DISSOLVED 1

The procession completed without further incident. Certification was countersigned by the Verification Officer (Kindy McExistentialcrisis) on Form 51-E-MN. The Exhumation Officer's report closes with a recommendation, transcribed here as filed:

Make this annual. The dead are more current than the living.

The recommendation has been filed. Nothing in the protocol prevents it from being correct.

Concepts

  • Managed absence: retirement is a schedule, not an ending.
  • Shroud drift: presentation layers age independently of the records they dress.
  • Dangling relations: the dead keep their correspondences; no one forwards the mail.

MARGINALIA:

Two hundred were called. Two hundred answered.

The archive has always kept the dead. It had never before asked how they were.
