Religious Administrative Bureaucracy
Purpose
This tome files comparative administrative seams without treating any tradition as the default case. It concerns institutions, offices, records, property vehicles, procedures, and their failure signatures. It does not classify belief as failure.

The matrix is condensed by design. A cell indicates the administrative seam observed, not uniform practice, authority, or experience within a tradition.
MAP Extensions
MAP remains the governing spine: CAAR, AAOA, and LCGU are not replaced.1
- CAAR-HER — suppressed doctrinal proceeding, formally closed yet behaviorally structuring.
- AAOA-WQF — endowment or trust publicly retained after its declared object becomes operationally absent.
- LCGU-CAN — local canon, customary, or institutional variant binding in one setting and unrecognized elsewhere.
- STCP-RIT — deprecated rite or form still circulating through local handling.
- CAAR-SUC — succession claim administratively disputed yet operationally consequential.
Capture Taxonomy
| Mode | Administrative signature | Cross-tradition routing |
|---|---|---|
| FINA | revenue line becomes interpretive authority | donations, trusts, endowments, fees, property income |
| CRED | title outlives verification | ordination, lineage, honorary office, customary status |
| GOVC | procedure protects incumbency | boards, synods, assemblies, committees, family succession |
| LEGA | shield becomes a second doctrine | arbitration, corporate veils, exemption claims, NDA routing |
| STAT | public power hardens a private authority | licensing, zoning, education funding, election machinery |
These modes name bureaucratic capture patterns, not moral properties of a tradition. The same mode may appear in an institution, a state office, a nonprofit intermediary, or a customary governance system.
Inherited Workaround Doctrine
An inherited workaround becomes doctrine when it is repeated after its authorizing condition disappears. First it is an accommodation. Then it is local knowledge. Then a successor assumes it was always required. File it as LCGU where local authority remains visible; file it as CAAR where the original authority is retired but its behavior persists.
Replacement Without Release
The archive flags forms that simulate neighboring forms while retaining the unresolved expectations beneath them: bishop titles without episcopal jurisdiction, cathedral language without the same legal meaning, parliament-like councils without delegated state authority, or corporate governance language laid over kinship obligation. Similarity is not equivalence. Resemblance is a routing question, not proof of derivation.
Trust Surface Crosslinks
An imprimatur, fatwa, semikha, lineage claim, hukamnama, certificate, seal, belt, or registry can remain behaviorally directive after its proof basis thins. The archive calls this a trust surface. It must be double-filed: the mark's continuing effect, and the current condition of its verification basis. Do not collapse either record into the other.
Training Specimen Annex
TS-RAB-01 — The Diocese That Solved Abuse
A model narrative where every report arrives, every investigation finishes, every survivor receives remedy, and every archive is complete. Filed as overcoherent: the absence of residual jurisdiction, delay, dissent, or inaccessible record makes it unsuitable as an operational specimen.
TS-RAB-02 — The Waqf That Was Audited
A model ledger in which every endowment object, rental income stream, trustee discretion, and beneficiary payment reconciles without political cost. Filed as a clean-room specimen; it cannot establish ordinary conditions.
TS-RAB-03 — The Cargo Cult That Got Cargo
A requisition is made, delivered, receipted, and closed with no interpretive remainder. Filed as myth artifact. Delivery alone does not resolve the administrative world assembled around expectation.
